Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to personal data when you use airemix.chaijoywood.com (this website), when you contact us, and when you run the AI Remix Photo plugin on your own WordPress site. The data controller is Chai Joy Wood (Joywood 木之家), Taiping, Perak, Malaysia.

1. This website

• No accounts, no sign-up, no advertising or analytics cookies, and no third-party trackers.
• Your language choice (English or 中文) is stored in your own browser and is never sent to us.
• Like any web server, ours records standard request information (IP address, browser type, the page requested) for security and troubleshooting. We do not build profiles from it.
• The page loads no external fonts, scripts or images — everything is served from this domain.

2. When you contact us

If you message us on WhatsApp, email us, or call, we receive what you send — typically your name, phone number, email address and your message. We use it only to answer you, to keep a record of the enquiry, and to provide support if you buy a licence. We do not sell it or share it with anyone else.

3. If you buy a licence

Once the online store is live, payment will be handled by our merchant-of-record provider: they process your card and are the seller of record for tax purposes, and we receive your name, email address, country and order details — never your full card number. Until the store is live, orders and invoices are handled by email and WhatsApp, and we keep the details you give us for billing and support.

4. The plugin on your site — what stays with you

The plugin runs entirely inside your own WordPress installation. Your product catalogue, the visitor’s uploaded photo, the generated previews, the statistics and the leads are stored in your database and your private upload folder. We have no access to any of it, and the plugin contains no licence check, no telemetry and no remote assets that would send data to us.

When a preview is generated, the plugin sends three things to the AI provider you configured (fal.ai in this version): a resized copy of the visitor’s room photo with its metadata (EXIF) removed, your catalogue reference image, and the text prompt. It does not send names, email addresses, phone numbers or IP addresses. That provider processes the request under its own privacy policy and terms.

5. If you use the plugin on your site, you are the data controller

Your visitors’ photos and any details they submit through the lead form are your data, collected on your site. Under Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (and the GDPR if you serve EU visitors) you are responsible for:

• telling visitors what you collect and why (the plugin ships editable consent and disclosure wording on the UI Setting tab — make it match your own privacy notice);
• keeping only what you need, for as long as you need it (the plugin’s default retention is 7 days, configurable);
• answering requests from visitors who want to see or delete their data — the plugin gives you the tools to find and delete those records in Generated Photos and Lead Capture.

6. How long we keep things

• Enquiries that do not lead to a purchase: up to 24 months.
• Customer and order records: as long as your licence is active, plus the period required by Malaysian tax and accounting rules.
• Support email threads: up to 3 years, so we can help you again later.
• Server logs for this website: a short rolling period, typically under 30 days.

7. Your rights

Under the PDPA 2010 you may ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to stop using it for marketing, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 21 days. If you are not satisfied you may contact the Personal Data Protection Commissioner of Malaysia.

8. Security

This website is served over HTTPS. We keep the personal data we hold to the minimum needed to sell and support the plugin, and we do not store card details ourselves.

9. Children

The plugin and this website are business tools, not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the plugin changelog.
